President’s Message
Greetings from New Orleans,
We have formalized some plans for the new venue of our annual meeting.
As some of you may know already, we have a gracious invitation to join
RESNET in San Antonio this February 27 - March 1. Even at this late
date, they are opening some avenues of participation for us.
Details of their conference are on their website www.natresnet.org. We
are currently determining how the details, like cost and schedule will
work out.
The RESNET conference hotel has a reduced cost of $150 per night
(normally $250/night). Knowing that this may deter some attendance
(including yours truly!) I have secured a block of rooms at the Motel 6, about ten blocks
away for your convienence. It comes
highly recommended by Myron Katz! We have a NERA room confirmation
number list from them, and will give you reservation instructions
shortly. If you want to reserve right away, you can call the hotel
directly also at 210-225-1111 and ask for Monica. NERA will be paying
for the first night's stay there!
Due to the fact that our local planning committee has been side-swiped
by Katrina, I am calling on the general membership to step up to the
plate, and for those with unique organizing skills or contacts to help
re-plan this meeting. Please e-mail our committee chairman, Wade Byrd,
